Dear Friends,
At BZVweb we want to make sure your websites run smoothly. As such, we've been diligently working in making the best balance of upgrades to our servers, before the chip shortage affected us, and indirectly prevent it from affecting you. The upgrades will run progressively per server cluster throughout the next few months, as such you may not see any changes right away.
What is changing?
- Shared & Cloud Hosting: These server types will have their storage media upgraded to SSD / NVME. This will help reduce load times and increase overall performance, especially for multi-site users.
- VPS & Dedicated Servers: These will have their CPUs, GPUs, RAM and Storage upgraded. Depending on the server type, it may also have a few OS variants to choose from, to conform to current web standards.
- Enhanced Security: SSH Integration, ClamAV, Multi-Factor Authentication, among other security features will be implemented for both the frontend and backend.
- OS / Software Updates: To ensure all servers run the latest web software, there will be progressive updates to the web frameworks that run on Shared & Cloud servers. VPS and Dedicated servers may include additional OS Choice selections and will continue to allow you to run in full ROOT access for your custom needs that exceed the limitations of Shared and Cloud plans.
- BZVweb Web Portal: Our frontend and backend will also be updated to keep up with the new hardware updates. This will help us bring you easier navigation as well as a more streamlined support system and shopping experience.
What to Expect?
Our goal is to schedule these changes during the least common traffic per server cluster. Each upgrade should take an average of an hour per server. In rare cases, the time may vary, nonetheless, we'll aim towards a shorter timeframe. Deciding factors for this, are related to the type of upgrade on the system (upgrade existing or replace for new).
Our support channel will also be less staffed during this time, as such you may experience extended wait time for a reply.
Thank you for your continuing support.
