Out of Space - Cannot access cPanel

This is common for plans that have far exceeded their size quota. You will be presented with an error message trying to access cPanel, telling you that it cannot be accessed until you free up some space. If you do not know how to do it, please contact us and we'll help you find a solution.

My website is only a few megabytes in size. How did I run out of space?
Even though your website may be small, if your database is too large, it could be eating up your storage space.
Another possibility is that the tmp and cache folders for your site are filling up too much and need to be emptied.

E-Mail can also be a reason:
As you may have noticed, your hosting plan also holds your e-mail account server. This means that your server is sharing space with the e-mail server and all those undeleted e-mails with mega attachments are eating up at your storage space.
The solution is simple. Purge all unnecessary e-mail. Remember, your business e-mail is not to be used the same way as your free gmail account.
For large attachments, please save them to your local hard drive if it is something you must keep.

Remember:
Website performance is also linked to the e-mail and database health of your server. It is your responsibility to keep it organized and under control.

How does this pep-talk help me gain access to my cPanel?
Simply erase unnecessary files (usually under the cache and tmp folders), and purge old un-needed e-mail. Once you free up enough space, you'll be able to access your cPanel once again.

What if I cannot delete anything else and I still am getting the out of space error?
When that happens, you will need to upgrade your plan to one with more space. Contact our support department and we'll provide you with upgrade options that suit your needs.
